OVERVIEW
Timeless lines and effortless sea miles, "One Crowded Hour" is a testament to the Palm Beach Motor Yachts Story.
This PB38 set the scene early for a brand that is now world renowned for meticulous craftsmanship, leading edge boat building methods and outstanding efficiency. This is hull #1, the first Palm Beach Motor Yacht ever built, and your chance to own a piece of maritime history.
Very well appointed, with clever use of space for weekends away or the impromptu sunset cruise, the Yanmar 6LY2-STE 315 HP diesel pushed her along at top speed of 21 knots and a steady cruise of 16 knots on our delivery from Sydney Harbour to Palm Beach HQ in Pittwater.
One Crowded Hour has been meticulously maintained. The beautifully handcrafted golden teak interior is complimented with our marque's signature Palm Beach cream molded gelcoat, teak decks, stainless highlights, with plenty of light and airy spaces.
The master cabin forward has a large double bed, with natural ventilation via the large overhead hatch. The classic oval portholes offer clear views of the outside waterways.
The large head and shower area has over 6'3" of headroom and is conveniently located adjacent to both the galley and master cabin.
The galley is open to the saloon, has good light and a large custom stainless L shaped bench for easy preparation. The galley is equipped with a microwave and plenty of storage. Refrigeration is a teak faced front-opening 240 volt unit and top loading chest style fridge/freezer in the cockpit, Both running off 240v via shore power or the handy 4500 Fisher Panda 240v generator.
The skipper has perfect visibility from the helm chair and is in good contact with the crew. When navigation skills are required this has been made easy with the latest Raymarine Axiom Pro chart plotter, Raymarine radar, ST60 and an accurate Raymarine wind monitor for the yachties to keep an eye on the wind shifts. Docking is assisted with the Side Power bow thruster.
Kids or a couple can be accommodated with the double pullman that converts the settee to a berth in the saloon.
The saloon is the spot for the long lunch or you can relocate the teak pedestal table to the cockpit for alfresco dining. The aft bulkhead separating the saloon from the cockpit is great to block out the weather or wind down the aft window for an open feel, a classic Palm Beach feature.
Plenty of storage under the aft bench seat for toys, ropes and fenders.
The Palm Beach 38 is unique in many ways, one in particular is the size of the cockpit and the flow from swim platform through the cockpit to the saloon.
Designed for adventure, exploring and relaxation on your favorite waterway, now is the time to secure this beautiful 38' motor yacht and join the Palm Beach Motor Yacht family.
