ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This 1998 Grand Banks Eastbay 43 HX combines the pedigree of one of the most respected Downeast builders, she looks exactly like what an Eastbay should: purposeful, elegant, and timeless.

Built by Grand Banks Yachts on the renowned C. Raymond Hunt modified deep-V hull, the 43 HX is celebrated for her soft, dry ride and surefooted tracking. The hull carries enough deadrise to slice through a head sea yet maintains excellent efficiency and manners at displacement and planing speeds. With twin Cummins 6BT 5.9 370hp turbo diesels (approx. 2,000 hours) and this hull, owners typically see an easy cruise in the mid-20-knot range with a top end in the high 20s, depending on load and conditions. Fuel burn and RPM are tracked via FloScan tachs and digital engine interface, making it simple to run the boat efficiently.

Starting at the entering from the transom gate or stepping over into the cockpit you will notice a removable bait tank on the port swimstep. The spacious cockpit is protected with an awning overhead. Plenty of storage in the deck hatches all teak deck with added conditioner.

Stepping up in the interior is the up galley design. To starboard Is a beautiful, recovered L shaped dining with storage and the galley to Port. The galley has a Princess 3 propane gas burner and oven, single sink and faucet, Microwave, and a Waeco refrigerator.

To starboard is the helm station with AC/DC breaker panel. At the helm is an upgraded electronic package, bow/stern bow thruster control, windlass control, alarm panel, Bennett Trim tabs controls, analog gauges, search light control, Link 2000 Heart Interface invertor display with a newly recovered 2-3 seater helm seats.

Moving down the teak and holly stairway to the staterooms and full head. The Master or V berth is located forward with cedar lined closets, reading lamps, storage cabinets alongside and escape hatch overhead. Allowing natural light in via two port holes is a nice feature for natural air and light to protrude.

Aft to port is the bunk room with a cedar lined closest. The full galley opposite the bunk room is a vacuflush head, sink and a separate stand-up shower.

If you walk outside and forward hanging on to the stainless-steel handrail and beautiful teak caprail will come up to the Maxwell windlass. With anchor chain lockers either side that can store fenders and lines. A Revere Commander 4.0 liferaft sits in a cradle.

The engine is accessed by lifting up the hatches in the salon/galley. A newly added Northern Lights generator is aft in the engine room.
